From 19pm to 21pm, enjoy an intimate aperitif in an unusual setting: the Medieval fortress de Beaucaire ! During these timeless evenings, you can enjoy a historical commentary on the tumultuous history of the fortress by one of our passionate guides and taste the wines from one of the vineyards of Terre d'Argence while enjoying one of the most beautiful views over the rooftops of Beaucaire.
Unusual aperitif
As part of the Rencontres de la Terre d'Argence (Argence Land Encounters), the Tourist Office is offering panoramic aperitifs at historical sites! These unique aperitifs are organized every Wednesday during the summer, at the medieval fortress of Beaucaire or at the...Troglodyte Abbey of Saint-Roman in Beaucaire. These unusual experiences are very popular, so book your places as soon as possible!
The panoramic aperitif at the Beaucaire Fortress takes place this year on Wednesdays July 8 and August 5, 2026 from 19pm to 21pm.
Panoramic aperitif at the Beaucaire Fortress
The experience from 19 p.m. to 21 p.m. includes:
- A tour of the Dungeon and the history of the fortress by Christine, a tour guide
- 2 tasting glasses of your choice
- Wine in the presence of a winemaker from Terre d'Argence
- Fruit juice with juices from local production
- 1 individual classic or vegetarian appetizer box prepared with fresh, local and seasonal produce
- 1 35cl screen-printed glass (with the adult box only)
This experience includes 2 glasses of wine or fruit juice; it is also possible to buy water (€1) and additional glasses of wine (€2,50 per glass) and juice (€2 per glass) on site.
This year, you will be able to discover the wines of the following winemakers:
- Wednesday July 8: Font Barrièle Castle
- Wednesday August 5: Field of the Tower
A wonderful experience combining history, heritage and tasting fine wines, all in a unique setting.
Useful information:
🎟️Reservations are required and can be made online or at the Tourist Office, 8 rue Victor Hugo in Beaucaire. Reservations are open until 12pm on the day of the event (unless it is fully booked).
⚠️Access to the site is exceptionally via the Castle Ascent (and not through Place Raimond VII).
- Access to the site is only permitted upon presentation of the entry ticket in digital or paper format. Those without proof of purchase will be refused entry.
- Recommended attire: closed and comfortable shoes, stone steps are sometimes uneven to access the dungeon.
- No smoking on site.
- Toilets on site.

Access is on foot via Rue de la République then Rue de la Montée du Château.
