Visit a lavender field and learn how to use a sickle for a traditional harvest. Gaël will demonstrate the techniques of lavender harvesters. Here, everything is picked with care. The most opportune moment is chosen so that the plant releases the most essential oils.

From flower to essential oil: the lavender distillation process 🌸

After the harvest, it's time for distillation! Head to the distillery around the still, where you can place the freshly picked plants directly into the vase. Watch the distiller at work, packing the flowers into the still so the steam doesn't escape too quickly, and sealing the still tightly to begin the distillation process. Thanks to the water vapor, the aromatic molecules are extracted naturally, an ancestral process. Drop by drop, you'll see the essencier fill with two treasures:

• The essential oil, concentrated and powerful.
• Hydrosol, or floral water (water from distillation).

At the end of the morning, leave with your own bottle of essential oil and hydrosol, concentrated by nature carefully extracted thanks to your involvement.
