Apéro-panorama à l'Abbaye de Saint-Roman

Abbaye de Saint-Roman Route de Nîmes 30300 Beaucaire

Museum Overview

An evening at the top of Europe's only troglodyte abbey!
Wine and tapas tasting at sunset.

Imagine a mysterious, unusual, captivating place, lost in the scrubland…
The Abbey of Saint-Roman, the remains of an ancient monastery carved into the rock, opens its doors to you for a unique experience.

Long ago, hermits and then monks chose this promontory to isolate themselves from the world.
Through patience and courage, they sculpted the abbey in stone with the tools at their disposal: a true feat of strength that you can admire in a timeless atmosphere.

As night falls, after the last visitors have left, the abbey becomes yours.
With a pass, you gain access to the upper terrace for an intimate aperitif, bathed in the golden light of the setting sun.
Up there, an exceptional 360° panorama unfolds before you: the Rhône Valley, the Alpilles, and the garrigue stretching as far as the eye can see.

The experience, offered from 19 p.m. to 21 p.m., includes a free discovery of the site in a small group, two tasting glasses (wine or fruit juice), an individual catering box (choice of classic or vegetarian), as well as a 35 cl screen-printed wine glass (included with the adult box only).
