Presentation

Accompanied by a passionate tour guide, enter the most beautiful private mansions of Beaucaire and discover the history of the Foire de la Madeleine.

Did you know?
In the 17th and 18th centuries, Beaucaire was a hub of trade thanks to the Madeleine Fair, during which the town became a free zone.

Its port on the Rhône attracts merchants from all over the kingdom and the Mediterranean.
The city experienced incredible growth during this period, and magnificent private mansions were built there.

Your guide invites you to discover remarkable facades and to push open the door of some inner courtyards to tell you the story of the owners of these places and that of the Madeleine Fair.
