Parcours gravel à Bellegarde – Entre Vignes et canal
A gravel trail between vineyards and canals, discovering the contrasting landscapes of Bellegarde. From the coastal hills to the cultivated plains, the walk reveals the rural soul of the region: old farmhouses, unspoiled nature, and the Provençal way of life.

Description
This varied route offers a beautiful diversity of landscapes. It begins with a gentle climb through the Costières, taking little-known roads that wind through the vineyards. The walk then continues along the canal, essential to the agriculture of the plain. The contrast between the hilly terrain of the Costières and the flat expanse of cultivated land is striking. Along the way, you can see many old farmhouses, witnesses to the local rural history.
Along the route, directional posts guide you. The place name and/or the direction to follow are indicated in quotation marks. Follow the description below:
Starting from the Batisto Bonnet car park, from the “Batisto Bonnet” signpost, take the direction of “Valescure”.
1/ At the roundabout, turn at the third exit, continue to the “Mas Saint-Jean” sign, follow “Valescure”.
2/ At the "Valescure" post, go up the pebble path towards "Jonquières-Saint-Vincent". At the intersection with the road, continue to the right. Follow the road and the yellow markings for more than 3km.
3/ Leave the road for the gravel path on the left. At the “Mas de la Fontaine du Roy” signpost, turn right towards “Ecluse de Nourriguier” cross the departmental road, follow the tarmac road towards “Fourques”
4/ At the “Chemin de Végère” post, continue towards “Fourques”
5/ (Valid if the barrier opens, otherwise follow route 5bis) At the “Canal Philippe Lamour” go towards “Canal Bas-Rhône”. Cross the bridge then take the dirt road towards “Bellegarde” at the “Partisans” follow “Le port”. At the roundabout, take the second exit towards the port.
6/ At the “le Port” post, continue on the right towards “Bellegarde”, cross the village to the “Eglise” post and follow the direction of “place Batisto Bonnet” to return to the car park.
5Bis/ At the "Canal Philippe Lamour" go towards "Canal Bas-Rhône". Turn left onto Chemin des Patis. Cross the main road to go onto Chemin des Sauliers.
6bis/ Take the D6113 for a few meters, then turn right following the cycle path. Turn right onto the old Bellegarde path. Continue on this road to the Port of Bellegarde.
7bis/ From the port, reach the city center.
