Tapenade, the essential ingredient for your Provençal aperitif! An easy and foolproof recipe, made at home in less than 10 minutes! Make your own homemade tapenade!

Tapenade is an emblematic recipe of the Provence, made from black or green olives with olive oil, capers, anchovy fillets and garlic. 

It can be enjoyed as a dip, especially as an aperitif, or simply spread on bread or dipped into vegetable sticks. It can also be used as a stuffing for poultry.

Ingredients for the black tapenade:

  • 300 g pitted black olives
  • 15 anchovy fillets in oil
  • 60 g of capers
  • 3 cloves of garlic
  • Pepper

Ingredients for the green tapenade:

  • 300 g pitted green olives
  • 60 g of capers
  • 3 cloves of garlic
  • 30 g of pine nuts
  • 12 cl olive oil
  • Basil leaves

Instructions:

  • Put all ingredients except olive oil into the blender bowl
  • Puree
  • Gradually add the olive oil, as for mayonnaise, to obtain a smooth paste.
