Surrounded by vineyards and orchards, Jonquières is a pretty Provençal village where life is good. Located in the country of garrigue and the Costières de Nîmes, the village is renowned for its heritage and its vineyards.
If the village is primarily known for its two mills, its chapel and its fountain... Jonquières-Saint-Vincent is above all famous for its traditional Saint-Vincent festival, the Patron Saint of winegrowers.

The two mills
Strolling through the village streets, you'll come across two magnificent windmills. One is historic and dates back to the 17th century, while the other is an identically reconstructed replica. The various traditional festivals that punctuate village life throughout the year take place at their feet.

The Fountain of Tavie

On the outskirts of Jonquières you will discover a wonderfully bucolic place: La Fontaine de Tavie.
You will find a pretty fountain under the trees for a cool picnic!
In the heart of nature, it is also a place to recharge your batteries... And it is also the starting point for a walk or bike ride through the small nature trails.
The Saint-Laurent Chapel
As you leave the village, you'll pass a very pretty 12th-century Romanesque chapel, a listed historical monument. Inside, two Roman milestones dating from the time of the Roman Emperor Claudius support the chancel arch. In spring, the chapel is surrounded by a wonderful field of poppies; you can indulge in a little "House on the Prairie"-style escape and frolic among the flowers…
