We tested the new escape game at the Beaucaire fortress! Here's our experience, a "treasure hunt" type activity to discover with friends in the Gard region!
In search of the dragon!
At the beginning of July, we decided to go in search of the dragon of Beaucaire Castle with the nNew escape game "Mistral and the Legend of the Dragon"“We already really liked the first installment, “Raymond and the Quest for the Grail,” which was halfway between Indiana Jones and Kaamelott.
First surprise: at reception, you can still play the old one! In fact, both escape games are available. Five of us want to have a good time together, so we decide to try the new one!

Storm the fortress!
The game begins in the fortress gardens: a little shade doesn't hurt in the summer heat! We immediately get into the game, the puzzles follow one after the other, and we run around trying to achieve the best possible time! Second surprise: it's really well done. The details have been carefully considered. We almost expect Frédéric Mistral to appear to help us in our quest!
On the ramparts and in the dungeon!
After solving puzzles in the gardens, you must enter the round tower and the dungeon to unravel the legend!
Many pieces are usually off-limits to the public, so we feel a bit privileged, but we deserve it!
Not everything is necessarily obvious, we grumble, we flounder... but isn't that the point of an escape game? Otherwise it would be too easy! We don't realize it from below, but the view from the castle ramparts is truly magnificent over the Terre d'Argence, the Tarascon castle opposite and the surrounding area. We quickly appreciate it, because we don't lose sight of our goal of finding the dragon!
A great time with friends!
It's the final stretch. After finding all the clues, we try to track down the famous dragon. In the dungeon, a princess reveals her secrets to us...
We finished, not without difficulty, but we saw the dragon! And without saying more, the final scene is really worth the detour!
It took us nearly 1 hour and 15 minutes to complete our mission, but we really didn't see the time fly by! Beyond the joy of having accomplished our mission, we left Beaucaire with a big smile! What a pleasure to have shared this moment together.
