Fourques is a French commune located in the Gard department in the Occitanie region, in the Arles metropolitan area.

The town's architectural heritage includes two buildings protected as historic monuments: the castle, listed in 1913, and the Fourques bridge, registered in 1988.

Located on the border of the Gard and Bouches du Rhône departments, the Provence Côte d'Azur and Occitanie – Pyrénées Méditerranée regions, it can be reached via the Nationale 113 or the A9 motorway which goes from Montpellier Nîmes to Marseille or via the CD570 via the Camargue.

The village's name comes from the word "fourche" (fork), evoking its location at the bifurcation of the Grand Rhône and the Petit Rhône, which gives rise to the Camargue delta. (La fourco in Provençal).
