Restaurant La Halte Nautique

The Chef revisits the classics of French cuisine and works with 100% wild and fresh products such as black pig from Bigorre, truffles from Périgord, beef from Galicia, charcuterie from Lyon, and fish from different auctions.

In his creations, there is his father's garden and his mother's kitchen.
It’s his whole childhood that resurfaces in the dishes he imagines!
After training at the greatest restaurants on the Côte d'Azur, as well as in New York, Paris and London, Jean-Jacques Coclet returned to his native village and in 2011 took over the Halte Nautique, a lovely restaurant on the banks of the Rhône-Sète canal in Bellegarde.


He's also a lover of fine wines and enjoys advising his clients on the best food and wine pairings. The best advice we can give you, if you're going to dine at his place, is to let go and go with the flow. You might be surprised!

We like: the vaulted cellar, the pretty terrace on the port which has just been redone (2023).
